New Management at the Golf Clubhouse (Newly renamed ‘The Haybank Clubhouse & Grill’)

At Plassey, we are very lucky to be one of the few holiday parks in North Wales to have our own nine-hole golf course. With a par of 66 set in mature parkland, we consider this to be one of the most scenic rounds of golf you will find in North Wales. In the last three years, we have invested a lot of time and money into the improvement of the course, by working with a leading golf course architect. This has resulted in the introduction of two-bay practice nets, a new green at hole 5, a re-design of the 3rd and 6th holes, and some re-shaping of the lakes. All in all, we feel that this has helped us to create a beautiful, exciting and well thought-out course which can be enjoyed by all players, from beginners to pros.

But our work doesn’t stop there. One of our aims was to provide the best golf club in North Wales, and to try and achieve this, we have made some major changes to the clubhouse, including renaming it the Haybank Clubhouse & Grill. We are delighted to announce that from the 1st February this year, Sarah Brookshaw (Owner, Plassey Holiday Park), has taken over the management of the clubhouse. Sarah says: “I am very much looking forward to running the Haybank Clubhouse & Grill with my husband John, and over the last few months we have been working on many exciting new changes, including new food and beverages. With a new team of talented staff, we hope to go above and beyond our already excellent customer service – something that Plassey Holiday Park is renowned for. We look forward to expanding Plassey Golf Clubhouse by continuing to grow membership, Pay & Play schemes and we will be introducing many new benefits for our current members too.”

Changes to the food and beverage we offer will begin with a new menu – this will be debuted in March 2016. Alongside our new menu, we will be installing a new oven in the Haybank Clubhouse & Grill, which will enable us to produce authentic tasting chargrilled BBQ meat and fish. This is no ordinary oven – it is a special charcoal oven called “Inka” – and we are so excited about it! You can even see a picture of it on our Facebook page. We have also installed a pizza oven, which will enable us to hand-make all of our pizza fresh on site, using a wide range of fresh ingredients. Not only that, but we have also updated the clubhouse and fitted it with newly upholstered chairs, funky tables and light fittings. You won’t recognize the place!

All of this work has been undertaken to ensure that golfing at Plassey is both enjoyable and relaxing. We hope that after a game of golf you can experience our warm and welcoming clubhouse, where you can enjoy some top class home cooked food served in stunning surroundings.

‘Simply Relax’ – Check In For Unrivalled Peace & Tranquillity

More and more people are flocking to caravan parks in North Wales and for good reason! A caravan holiday makes for a relaxing getaway, which offers the best of both worlds – the amenities of a hotel, with the freedom and mobility of taking your own accommodation. And why pay exorbitant fees for a holiday abroad when, for a fraction of the cost, you can explore the stunning natural scenery that North Wales has to offer? If you are looking for a relaxing caravanning experience, then why not come along to Plassey, the luxury caravan site North Wales, in our off-peak periods (March to June and September to October)? This way you can explore all of the fabulous amenities we have to offer, as well as the beautiful surroundings.

If you are already a fan of caravanning, then you will know that a caravan offers much greater comfort than a tent. Most importantly because they have proper beds! Do you really want to come back from holiday with back trouble, having had sleepless nights?! Realistically, the majority of us are not Bear Grylls, so we will nearly always be enticed into a bed, rather than a sleeping bag on the floor. If you choose to bring your own caravan with you, then our touring pitches offer a similar level of luxury. Our standard pitches offer 16amp electrics which you can connect to, and our deluxe pitches offer electric, lighting, water and digital TV and Sky connectivity.

As well as all of the comforts a caravan offers, we have a fantastic range of facilities on site. Taking a caravan holiday at one of the leading touring caravan parks in North Wales allows you to have a holiday with an air of adventure. Plassey is situated in 247 acres of farmland, in one of the most beautiful parts of North Wales. This year, Wales itself has excitingly designated 2016 as the ‘Year of Adventure.’ What a great opportunity for you to get active and explore the local area. For example, the 1st March is St David’s Day, the patron saint of Wales, so what better way to celebrate the day than to join in with local celebrations? You will see children dressed in red shawls and black chimney hats, and lots of people wearing bright green leeks and yellow daffodils. Wrexham itself holds a flamboyant parade, which is a must see!

If all this sounds a bit much, then don’t worry there are plenty of relaxing things for you to do on site. For example, why not start your day with a little wander around our retail village? Set in beautiful Edwardian buildings, this retail complex offers a wide range of shopping options – from the Barn Boutique to the Mini Market. Once you have shopped ‘til you drop, you can refuel at one of the many dining options on site, such as the Plassey Restaurant & Bar, Haybank Clubhouse & Grill, or the Stables Coffee Shop. In the afternoon, why not relax with a round of golf on our Par 66, 4961 yards Golf Course, set in beautiful parkland, and then finish your day with a dip in our luxury indoor heated swimming pool? You can have an amazing time here without ever leaving the park!

Plassey is second to none amongst the Caravan Parks North Wales, so to find out more or to book your stay with us, please call us on 01978 780 277 or email us at enquiries@plassey.com
