The day was organised by member Richard Bloss with help from members and the Haybank Clubhouse team. The object of the day was to have fun and enable established members, new members, non- members, beginner golfers and juniors to take part in a golf competition. It was a team event with the best 2 scores on each hole to count, and as the old Olympic saying goes “it is not the winning that counts, but the taking part”. The first competition was for the Best Dressed Team. The winners were the 118 group (Wayne and Sharon Harold, Sally Triggs and Rob Williams). A 9 hole competition followed and prizes were awarded to the top 5 teams. Many thanks to Sarah & Richard for supplying most of the prizes on the day. There was more fun in the late afternoon with a disco & talent competition for the kids.
There was a great turnout for the Mixed Greensomes Competition. Lady Captain Murray Williams provided the prizes including a cup for the winning couple. Winning couple of the day was awarded to Rob & Debbie Bell with a nett score of 36.6. Well done to everyone who took part on what was a very successful and fun day.
