The Plassey Craft & Retail Centre FAQ

Please find below a list of the most popular questions asked, and we hope that we have covered most topics. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us on (01978) 780 277. We would be delighted to answer any queries that you may have.

Q. What days is the Craft & Retail Centre open?
We are open 7 days a week*, generally from 10.00am until 5.00pm. As each unit is run as an independent business, the hours do vary slightly so please give us a call if you are interested in a particular item or service (see Craft & Retail Centre page).
*Note that about half of the units are open on a Monday

Q. Is admission and car parking free?
Yes, and we also have ample car parking situated close to the shops, so its easy to visit and browse.

Q. Do you have suitable access for disabled and wheelchair users?
Yes. Most* of the area is suitable, and we also have a toilet specifically for disabled / wheelchair users.
*Please note some access for the Craft & Retail units is slightly restricted due to the nature of the converted Edwardian buildings.

Q. I am interested in a particular craft product / service - how do I find out more information?
If you visit the Craft & Retail Centre Outlets page, you will find a list of the relevant telephone numbers to the independent businesses, so that you can find out further details. Also some of the businesses have their own websites - just click on the appropriate unit name to link to their website.

Q. Do you run any craft courses in the shops?
Yes, Top Barn Craft run several courses during the year - for further details on this, please call Theresa on 01978 780 972.

Q. Are Coaches welcome?
Yes, but as parking is restricted to one large coach plus one minibus, please call us on 01978 780 277 to inform us of your intended date. Please note that during peak times (School holidays & Bank Holidays), we are sorry but we cannot accommodate large coaches.

If visitors by coach are likely to use e.g. the Restaurant or Coffee Shop, the coach driver will need to pre-book with the particular establishment (see Craft & Retail Centre Outlets page).

Q.Who do you contact regarding vacant Craft Units or Office Studios?

Q. Do you cater for Weddings and other Special Occasions?
Yes. The Plassey Shippon Restaurant has a licence for civil Weddings, host other Special Occasions, and also has facilities for Conferences - please call them on 01978 780 905 where they would be delighted to discuss further details with you.
